Dr. Bernard Jin, General Dentist & Owner
Coquitlam dentist Dr. Bernard Jin obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry in 1995. He received subsequent training in the General Practice Residency Program (an extensive multidisciplinary program) at Vancouver Hospital, BC Children’s Hospital, and UBC Specialty Clinic. Dr. Jin received the Dr. S. Ioanidis Award for excellence during his internship at Vancouver Hospital. He also trained at the California-based NobelInstitute™ (Nobel Biocare Implant Headquarters). For the past two decades, Dr. Jin has been practicing family and general dentistry while pursuing advanced dental studies in Oral Surgery, Implantology, Conscious & Moderate Sedation, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Orthodontics. He both teaches and participates in study clubs locally and throughout North America. Dr. Jin also serves as clinical instructor teaching dental implant placement and tissue grafting techniques to fellow dentists. Having received Intravenous Sedation Training from both the UBC/VGH GP Residency program and the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Jin is pleased to offer the option of sedation services to his patients. He is a proud member of the Canadian Dental Association, Association of Dental Surgeons of BC, College of Dental Surgeons of BC, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, International Association for Orthodontics, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the Christian Medical & Dental Society.In addition to spending time with his wife and two children, Dr. Jin enjoys photography, playing guitar, and cruising on his motorcycle.
Dr. Carlee Beuk, General Dentist
Having grown up in the Coquitlam tri-cities area, Dr. Beuk is happy to be practicing dentistry in her very own familiar community. An avid soccer player through high school and university, many patients have been pleasantly surprised to find and call Dr. Beuk their primary dentist. Dr. Carlee Beuk received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia. She was recently awarded the distinguished Academy of General Dentistry Chapter Prize by the UBC Faculty of Dentistry.When not working, Dr. Beuk thoroughly enjoys being with the love of her life, conjuring up and trying new tasty recipes and losing herself in the latest best-seller novel.
Dr. Sangwoo Ham, General Dentist
Dr. Sangwoo Ham joined the Smiles Unlimited Dental Family in 2014.  He grew up in Coquitlam and graduated from Centennial Secondary School in 2005. He then pursued and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology (Honors) from the University of British Columbia.Dr. Ham is awarded a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Dentistry. He is a registered practitioner with the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, Canadian Dental Association and BC Dental Association. Dr. Ham brings with him a wide array of training experience including externships at the University of Texas, Houston and Seoul National University, S. Korea. He is an active member of numerous study clubs and academies in the areas of gold and esthetic restorative treatments.Outside of private practice, Dr. Ham volunteers his time and services to care for underprivileged individuals at the downtown eastside dental clinic. He also serves as an clinical instructor/mentor at the UBC Dental School.

Dr. Ham is fluent in both English and Korean. His passions are soccer and basketball. Dr. Ham recently married Jennifer, the love of his life, who also happens to work as a pharmacist locally.

Dr. Stephanie Bortolussi, General Dentist

Dr. Stephanie Bortolussi is excited to be a part of the Smiles Unlimited Dental Family.  A local of Port Coquitlam, Dr.  Bortolussi grew up playing softball, going to the Europa Bakery, and watching the annual firework display at Citadel Park. After graduating from Riverside Secondary School, Dr. Bortolussi pursued her undergraduate degree in Biology with Honours from the University of British Columbia. She then continued on to dental school, graduating top of her dental class for which she was awarded the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia Gold Medal.

Dr. Bortolussi is passionate about helping others, both locally and globally. In addition to volunteering in the community, she has also travelled to Jamaica and Vietnam to provide dental care to individuals in need. She’s excited to see where the next dental service trip takes her.

In her spare time, you can find Dr. Bortolussi immersing herself into her favourite outdoor activities of hiking, camping and kayaking.

Dr. Bortolussi is looking forward to giving back to the Tri-Cities community.
